Dr. Lisa Ciucci

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Owner
Special interests include surgery and dentistry

Dr. Ciucci became the proud new owner of Gardens Animal Hospital in 2015. She is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and relocated to Florida in 2009 with her family. She is passionate about caring for all animals and has worked with many local animal rescue groups and volunteered her time at animal shelters.

Dr. Ciucci is happily married with three gorgeous kids: one boy and two girls, a poodle named Triton, and a lab mix named Paisley. She played volleyball at Southern Illinois University during her undergraduate studies and is also a proud Saluki.

Dr. Valerie Valerio

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Special interests include dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine

Dr. Valerio is a native to South Florida where she was born and raised. In 2014, Dr. Valerio received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida. She continued her aspirations of becoming a veterinarian by attending St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada. In between studying and attending classes, Dr. Valerio volunteered her spare time to the Feral Cat Club where she helped obtain, spay/neuter, and release feral cats on the island. In 2019, Dr. Valerio completed her long cherished dream by receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Valerio enjoys educating her clients on the importance of preventative care medicine, and creating a strong bond with each of her patients and their families.

Dr. Valerio loves spending time with her husband and fur babies. In her free time, Dr. Valerio enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

Dr. Tati Cadilhe

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Special interests include surgery, emergency and critical care, and internal medicine

Dr. Cadilhe was born and raised in South Florida and has family roots in the beautiful country of Colombia. Dr. Cadilhe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lynn University, where she was also a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team. Her lifelong dream to become a veterinarian was achieved when she graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. During her veterinary studies, Dr. Cadilhe participated in a community outreach program with local veterinarians in Mexico to provide free spay and neuter procedures to impoverished families, a mission she hopes to carry on in the future with her fellow Michigan State alumni.

Dr. Cadilhe always strives to be a trusted and empathetic advocate for her patient’s health and wellbeing. Dr. Cadilhe’s philosophy is to care for each and every pet as if they were her own. With her special interests in surgery, emergency and critical care, and internal medicine, she hopes to provide her patients with her expertise in these areas and more.

In her free time Dr. Cadilhe loves spending time with her amazing husband, family, and “heart dog” Sheldon, a scruffy Dachshund Mix rescue. Some of her favorite hobbies include playing competitive pickleball, hiking and camping, home renovation projects, and going to the movies on $5 Tuesdays.

Dr. Laszlo Sinko

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Special interests include dentistry and surgery

Dr. Sinko loves all the latest and greatest medical innovations and puts them to use with his expert surgical skills gained in years of implanting surgical devices. Dr. Sinko has had the opportunity to work in an internship with a human dentist as well. We believe that gives him an extra edge for treating even the most difficult cases. Many vets in the area refer their difficult dental cases to Dr. Sinko. Dr. Sinko loves to do dentistry and surgery, including splenectomy, foreign body and mass removal, and cystotomy surgeries.

In his free time, Dr. Sinko loves spending time with his wife, Johnna, his children, and fur babies.

Dr. Alejandra Gonzalez

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Special interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry

Dr. Gonzalez was born in the city of eternal spring: Medellin, Colombia. She relocated to Miami with her family and graduated from the University of Miami in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Her special interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry.

Dr. Gonzalez has a particular fondness for geriatric patients, and she loves to educate her clients on ways to improve their quality of life. She also enjoys forming long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, taking numerous pictures of her three rescued dogs, kayaking, and dancing to Latin music.

Dr. Sarah Evans

Visiting Board Certified Surgeon

Dr. Evans is a board-certified surgeon and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2008. Dr. Evans received her Bachelor of Science (Sc.B.) degree from Brown University then her D.V.M. from Auburn University (‘01). She completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Tennessee and a Surgical Internship at the Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, FL. From there she matched for the Residency in Small Animal Surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After completing her residency, Dr. Evans returned to South Florida to continue to polish her surgical skills.

Dr. Evans performs soft tissue, orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures. She is certified to perform the previously-patented TPLO procedure for cranial cruciate ligament (ACL) deficient stifles in dogs. She also performs laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures in addition to traditional laparotomies/thoracotomies. Brachycephalic surgery, extrahepatic portosystemic liver shunt ligations, perineal urethrostomies (PUs), cholecystectomies, and arytenoid lateralizations (“tie-backs”) are a few of her favorite soft tissue procedures; TPLOs, medial patellar luxation (MPLs), toy breed radius/ulna fractures, and hemilaminectomies top the list of her favorite orthopedic and neurological surgeries.

Dr. Seth Mitchell

Visiting Ultrasonographer

Seth Mitchell attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he obtained a BS in Mechanical engineering. He then went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Mitchell has been ultrasounding since 2007. During his undergraduate studies he was selected as an intern for a study involving spinal fusion fixation techniques using calf spines as models. It was his interest in biomedical engineering that spurred a career involving animal physiology, eventually leading to a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Mitchell provides thorough and efficient imaging. With a background in engineering, he is a trained problem solver, with the experience and know-how to interpret and apply sonographic pathology in a clinical perspective to help manage your difficult cases.

When he isn’t scanning, he can be found on the beach or on the water. He lives in Stuart, Florida with his three daughters and his wife Bonnie, who is also a veterinarian.

Gardens Animal Hospital is one of the largest veterinary practices in Palm Beach Gardens, but because of our unique layout, with our two buildings located just steps away from one another, the experience feels calming and intimate. Gardens Animal Hospital has a variety of exam rooms of all sizes to accommodate any size pet. We also feature cat-specific exam rooms to help your feline feel right at home. Most of our exam rooms also feature a large window looking out onto our sunlit outdoor space. With our wide variety of exam rooms, and a large staff of veterinary doctors, we are able to accommodate our regular wellness visits and urgent-care visits without interruption or delay.
