We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Josh Harrell has joined the Gardens Animal Hospital family! Dr. Harrell brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and dedication to our practice, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to our team.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Harrell completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Memphis before earning his veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2010. After gaining valuable experience as a general practitioner in Hilton Head, SC, and Memphis, TN, he made his way to South Florida in 2014 to pursue his passion for emergency and critical care medicine at a 24/7 specialty hospital.
After a decade of providing expert care in ER medicine, Dr. Harrell is eager to build more consistent and lasting relationships with his patients and their families (and enjoy a more restful sleep schedule). He has a special interest in supporting our feline friends and providing urgent care for sick and injured pets, making him a perfect addition to our team.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Harrell enjoys spending quality time with his partner and their two beloved cats. An avid cook and outdoor enthusiast, he loves exploring local waterways on his paddleboard and traveling to new destinations.
